Precise Industrial Coatings is an ISO 9001-2015 Certified Company specializing in applying dry film coatings (TEFLON/Color Coding) to rubber and metal products. As a trusted tier 2 supplier to automotive (GM, Ford, Chrysler), heavy equipment (Caterpillar, John Deere, Cummins), medical and food industries, we currently service over 80 clients globally.
Established in 2005 by Barry and Betty Kober, Precise Industrial Coatings started as an entrepreneurial journey in their garage. Taking the leap to create a business with the in-depth coating knowledge they had was met with challenges as well as great success. Soon, their niche expertise in the coating industry gained traction, and they knew it was time to expand to a new location.
In 2009, property was purchased and a 5,000 square foot building was built in Roane Industrial Park. The company continued to see rapid growth, so once the initial building loan was paid off, an additional 5,600 square foot space was added in 2019 in order to accommodate the growing demand.
The company’s stability and lack of debt allowed us to weather the 2020 pandemic without any layoffs or government assistance. This firm foundation set by the Kobers put Precise Industrial Coatings in a unique spot for growth and success into the future.
After years of being the sole owners of the company, the Kobers retired in 2024, passing the role of President of Precise Industrial Coatings to Christopher Gardner. Christopher’s vision for the company is to maintain the excellent service and relationships with all clients as well as pursue growth and future expansion as Precise Industrial Coatings rises to meet the needs of additional clients around the world.
